The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) held an “Engage! Business Walk' in Milford on Thursday, November 16. Representatives from various local, state and federal agencies visited businesses, listening to their input on opportunities and challenges.
The group also encouraged people to “shop small” for the holidays. Engage! is a statewide initiative funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. The University of Scranton SBDC provides no-cost educational programs and confidential counseling services to entrepreneurs looking to start or grow a small business in eight counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
