Amtrak's new Acela The fleet, scheduled to enter service on the Northeast Corridor (NEC) in 2024, will enhance the travel experience for millions of passengers and set the stage for the next generation of rail travel in America and the Northeast Corridor through improvements in comfort, technology, innovation and safety in Amtrak's most environmentally sustainable train fleet to date.
These Acela The trains will include new contactless features and use state-of-the-art technology to provide contactless amenities, such as spacious toilets with contactless functions and automatic door access, a contactless storage option for luggage and comfortable seats with personal power outlets and USB ports for individual access and winged headrests to act as a barrier between you and your neighbor. In addition, the Café Car will offer convenient self-service options and an advanced seat reservation system will allow customers to reserve seats prior to departure.
