The research interests of Dr. Crossing focuses on the development and application of critical theory in health services psychology, the education and preparation of social justice trainees and school psychology professionals, and the assessment and intervention of racism-based stressors and traumatic experiences in Black families through collaboration with the EMBRace Lab at University of Michigan. Dr. Crossing completed her predoctoral internship in clinical child psychology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The areas of clinical interest of Dr. Crossings include the assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders, learning disorders, childhood anxiety disorders, adolescent and emerging adulthood adjustment concerns, and oppression-based distress and trauma. In addition to her research, Dr. Crossing has provided extensive consultation, writing, and program development on social justice and anti-racism for the National Association of School Psychologists, including authoring NASP's 2021 Resolution Committing to Anti-Racism. He currently serves as co-chair of NASP's Social Justice Committee.
