For more than 40 years, Northeast Iowa Family Medicine & Residency has been caring for patients and teaching family medicine residents in the Cedar Valley.
Nearly half of Cedar Valley's family physicians have graduated from our program. We are sponsored by MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center. We refer and see our own hospital patients at both locations when you are in hospital.
Our Faculty Physicians have years of combined clinical experience and clinical appointments with the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine. Our resident physicians have graduated from medical school as an MD or DO and spend three years with us learning the specialty of family medicine.
Family Physicians are trained to treat every patient and every issue that walks through our door. We help children grow from newborns to toddlers and the school years before the transition to adulthood.
We help adults with healthy living or wellness, treat acute illnesses and diagnose and treat chronic illnesses as they develop. We also deal with mental health issues and addiction issues. We offer 17 Doctors, 1 Physician Assistant, Medical Social Worker and 1 Pharmacist. We offer on-site labs, x-rays and many other services.
We pride ourselves on knowing our patients and are constantly striving to improve the care we provide. We offer same-day and drop-in appointments and have a doctor on hand 24 hours a day to help you decide what to do next even outside clinic hours.
