Business Insider recently published its ranking 50 Best Law Schools in Americawhich highlights the top institutions that prepare students to land coveted jobs in the legal world.
But in addition to job prospects, location can play an important role in deciding which school to attend as well. Some people don't want to uproot too far from a community where they're established, while others may want to get their JD close to a specific industry focus—like the financial world of New York or the tech scene out West.
Pulling from our overall law school rankings, we've compiled a list of the best law schools in the Northeast.s is defined by US Census Bureau. The methodology draws us data from American Bar Association and focuses on the percentage of graduates who obtain full-time, long-term, highly desirable jobs, which includes positions at large, well-paying law firms—those with over 251 employees — and federal offices. Half of the schools on the list are in New York City, but the top spot is held by the University of Pennsylvania, which also topped the main list.
