Participants who have unrestricted US work rights or a US student visa will receive a $10,000 stipend for the summer to cover living expenses. Applicants who choose to live in North East summer residences will have their housing costs deducted from the grant. Applicants who choose to book travel through Northeastern will have their travel expenses deducted from their scholarship.
Due to the conditions of our NSF funding, we are unable to offer a fixed scholarship to students who are unable to work in the US. However, we will likely be able to accommodate summer homes in the Northeast (if desired) and book your trip.
Details of on-campus housing options will be sent to accepted applicants to decide whether to participate, and participants can choose to live off-campus if they prefer. Finding outdoor accommodation is the applicant's responsibility.
